The Combat-Oriented Party Introduced
Episode 3 concluded with a major cliffhanger and presented the initial group of adventurers who will branch out from the primary party to undertake their own adventure, apart from the additional parties.
The Soldiers table includes Teor (portrayed by the voice actor), the agile character (Laura Bailey), the strong-willed figure (Whitney Moore), the cleric (Sam), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie).
Dividing the Cast
With 13 cast members, it was evident from the start that keeping everyone at one table would be impossible.
That’s why, the opening chapters of the new season serve as an Prelude, connecting the individual narratives before branching into three smaller tables: Soldiers, Planners, and Seekers.
Characteristics of the Warrior Group
As described by the Dungeon Master, the warrior group is for participants who are drawn to a typically action-packed fight-heavy narrative style where peaceful solutions are rare.
At first glance, figures such as the reluctant priest Wicander might look mismatched, but the developments of episode 3 show why these five characters are perfectly fit for the Soldiers table.
Motivations for Departure
To begin with, the party knows exactly where to proceed after a brutal opening clash with The Crow Keepers.
Casimir of the deceased character—whose demise initiated the narrative’s action—exploited The Crow Keepers for his personal gain, entering Thjazi’s hideout, attacking the rogue, and stealing all the magical artifacts to auction.
The traitor then cleared his liabilities and ran away to a fortified location in the remote area, beyond Dol-Makjar, with Cyd Pridesire hot on his heels.
Character Drivers
Additionally, each character has a specific drive to leave the city the metropolitan area:
- The rogue, as the companion and trusted friend, seeks retribution.
- The adventurer knows the northern area and cautions that it is a nasty environment.
- The warrior and The healer, having disobeyed his family’s wishes to kill the target and instead saved him, have no other options.
- Yet, their reputation as key figures in the powerful family could assist the party access locations they usually can’t.
- Furthermore, The fighter vowed a life debt to The savior for his rescue and will now accompany him anywhere.
Pursued by Authorities
Lastly, all of them are hunted by the rulers that govern Dol-Makjar for a range of causes, making staying in the city dangerous:
- The agile adventurer and The hero are recognized lawbreakers.
- Tyranny and The healer betrayed House Halovar and the legion of demons they are aligned with.
- Teor is marked for death by the clan.
This means them no alternative but to journey toward Timmony in quest for the traitor.
